Section B: Give a short answer to the question given below.

Identify the type of each of the following reactions stating the reason for your answers.

A.Fe2O3+2AlAl2O3+2Fe+heatB.Pb(NO3)2+KIPbI2+2KNO3

A. Type of reaction -
Reason: The metal \(Al\) displaces a metal Iron \(Fe\) from \(Fe_2O_3\) to form \(Al_2O_3\) and \(Fe\). The reaction in which highly reactive metal displaces a less reactive metal is called a reaction.

B. Type of reaction -
Reason: The \(Pb(NO_3)_{₂}\) and potassium iodide \(KI\) exchange ions to form \(PbI_2\), which precipitates out of solution, and potassium nitrate \(KNO_3\), which remains in solution. A reaction in which an exchange of ions between the reactants takes place is called a   (precipitation) reaction.
